THE DESIGN PROCESS

Step 2 — Customized Design Proposal

Following the consultation, you will receive a customized design proposal outlining the recommended scope of services, project phases, estimated design fees, and next steps.

Once the proposal is accepted and the design agreement is signed, your project is formally scheduled.

Step 4 — Documentation, Approvals & Coordination

Every selection and drawing is presented for your review and approval before it is finalized.

Detailed design specifications are prepared and communicated to you and the appropriate members of the project team to support accurate pricing, purchasing, and installation. Throughout this phase, LMK Interiors remains actively involved to help maintain the integrity and continuity of the design vision.

For furnishing projects, approved furniture, lighting, rugs, fabrics, window treatments, art, and accessories move into procurement and production.

Step 1 — Discovery & Consultation

Begin by contacting LMK Interiors to schedule a brief introductory phone call. We’ll discuss your project, anticipated scope, timeline, and investment to determine whether the studio is the right fit for your needs.

The next step is a 90-minute design consultation, allowing us to explore your goals, priorities, aesthetic preferences, and the opportunities within your home.

Call 602.793.9300 or submit an inquiry to begin.

Step 3 — Concept Development & Design

This is where the vision for your home begins to take shape.

We review architectural plans, develop the overall design direction, and establish a cohesive palette of materials, finishes, furnishings, and architectural details. Depending on the scope, this phase may include space planning, CAD drawings, cabinetry concepts, lighting selections, finish specifications, furniture, fabrics, and window treatments.

Project meetings and site visits are provided as outlined in your individual design proposal.

Step 5 — Installation & Completion

As construction and procurement progress, we review final details, address approved additions or revisions, and coordinate the installation of furnishings and accessories included within the project scope.

The final installation brings every carefully considered layer together—transforming the completed space into a refined, personal home ready to be lived in and enjoyed.
